Utah vacation

Braden turned 12 in October and was ordained to be a Deacon.  So this April was his first General Conference as a priesthood holder.  Landon turned 8 in March with his cousin Eli, and they wanted to be baptized together.  So we planned a trip to make it all happen the same week.  We drove to Utah on the Friday before Conference.  Saturday we went to the priesthood session of conference - Braden got to go with his Dad, Grandpa, and 3 uncles (Bart, Ryan, and Devin).  This is us getting ready to get on the train in Salt Lake City to go to conference.  Thanks Ryan for taking the pic!

We got to take a tour of the Conference Center later in the week, I'll post pics from that soon.
On Monday we went to visit the Ferguson's, Anissa's sister and her family that just moved to Utah from Austin TX.  We used to hang out with them all of the time when we lived in Texas.  We can't believe they left!

 Anissa and her sister Meleah.
 Braden and his cousin Isaac.

Then we went to Logan ... our old stomping grounds at Utah State University.  Our first stop was to visit Myron and Faylene Fulmer, friends of ours from Houston who moved to Logan a few years ago.  Myron and Faylene are getting ready to go on a mission for the church.  It was great catching up with them.

We drove by our first house...162 Crockett Avenue.  It looks the same, except for the sidewalk and driveway extension.  When we lived there we had to shovel snow off of the grass to walk to the car in the winter.  Very nostalgic to look at that house and remember all that happened in those short 2 years we lived there.  This is where Braden was born!

Then we took the kids to USU campus and tried to convince them how great it is to go to college.  The kids really weren't convinced.  Here we are on the "quad", with the "Old Main" building behind us.  So many great memories here.  This is where we became "True Aggies" back in the day.  :)

Then we spent the rest of the day hanging out with our college friends Derek and Ruth - we all lived in the same apartment complex and got married the same summer.  It was so much fun catching up with them, playing Just Dance 3 on the Wii, and watching our kids play together.
