Week 9
Let me just start by saying I am glad I committed to the marathon last week because this week was a lot harder on me! The middle of the week runs went great-- 4 miles, 7 miles, and another 4 miles. Then on Saturday I ran farther than I have ever ran-- 16 miles. I thought the last 2 miles felt like 10. If it wasn't for my running partner, Megen, I don't think I would've finished the run. (Thanks Megen, you're the best!) I came home very discouraged thinking about trying to finish a marthon. Luckily my two best friends from Houston were there to lift me up :)

Anissa...you're amazing! I can't believe you kept the pace with your friends there with you. I'm sure I would have taken it as an excuse to lay off for a bit. Way to go, girl!
Yeah, really! Who's your running partner--someone you recently met there?
I run with a girl, Megen, that I met here. The first week I moved here, I asked people at church if they knew anyone that enjoyed running. Megen studyed Team Training in college and she is an excellent running partner, encourager, friend, etc. Basically, she's AWESOME all around.
